Rooted in Tradition, Looking Toward Tomorrow

Our heritage informs our future: a place where curiosity is welcomed, questions are encouraged, and each student’s unique path is celebrated.

Our Core Quaker Values: Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equity, and Stewardship guide our school culture every day.

What Does Quaker Education Look Like at PMFS?

In contrast to many religiously-affiliated schools, Quaker (or Friends) schools do not “teach religion” as part of their curriculum; instead, they incorporate beliefs and practices that we believe contribute to the development of thoughtful, empathetic, and engaged young people who embody and practice the six Quaker SPICES. Commonly referred to as the Quaker testimonies, these six ideals guide our approach to education and our interactions with one another:

Hear From Our Families

"We love the culture of community and kindness here. Smaller class sizes allow for individualized attention to each child. They allow each child to have a voice of their own and teach respect and kindness in everything they do."

Current Parent

"As a graduate of Plymouth, I remember feeling seen, loved, and known by my teachers. At school each day my classmates and I learned how to be kind, how to think for ourselves, and developed our integrity."
